Cascade Falls to the left, The Desolation Wilderness and Emerald Bay View Trail to the right. To get to Granite Lake it's a steep trail up a Sierra Mountain Ridge overlooking Lake Tahoe. The hike is difficult compared to other Tahoe hiking trails. Since it's wilderness bikes are prohibited.
